THE BRAND
Far Afield is a globally-inspired menswear brand, where a passion for high-quality garments meets a global perspective shaped by the wonders of travel. Established in 2016 by brothers Mark & Chris Scholes, Far Afield's rigorous focus on ethical production and unique aesthetic has helped it nurture a legion of devotess, and is carried in over 100 doors worldwide.
THE CHALLENGE
With initial wholesale success Far Afield were struggling to get their D2C channel firing on all cylinders. Bogged down by an over encumbered WooCommerce site and a lack of technical marketing expertise, the internal team needed to make rapid changes to maximise peak trading periods.
OUR SOLUTION
Far Afield’s WooCommerce site was unfit for purpose, crashing during key trading points. Fixing the site’s substantial technical debt would have being prohibitively expensive and time consuming for the client, so we opted for a bootstrapped migration to Shopify. We were able to achieve this entire project including a GlobalE transfer and migration from Mailchimp to Klaviyo in six weeks, just in time for Black Friday.
Following this we implemented a full commercial trading calendar, layered in a foundational CRM program and relaunched their paid media activity.
